I wore a Maxi, Desi Style #JugnixTSC | One Dress Four Ways

Friends has rapidly become a loosely used term. Fun is fun but then can you really open up to all your friends? It came to both of us as a surprise, how we bonded so soon. The feeling is kind of eerie that we feel like we have known each other for years. Is it just me or has this happened to you too?

#JugnixTSC is a collaborative post by two of us Pune Bloggers on Fashion and Beauty (and by beauty here you know I mean the beauty of people and the relationships they share)

Have you ever thought about what influences your style or your fashion choices??? (apart from your individual taste) Mine definitely gets influenced by watching bloggers and celebrities style (social media now has just made all of it so available to us). Fashion trends are first showcased at fashion weeks but what really makes fashion wearable is watching a real person (not a model or mannequin) wear it. Ok! let’s leave the celebrities aside. Fashion choices get influenced by even the people around you. Just the other day, I was eyeing a cowl neck top and was wondering if it’s going to be my style or not!? But then I saw a friend wear a cowl neck and suddenly it seemed wearable and now I was all motivated to experiment with the cowl neck and style it.

Now you are wondering why am I telling you the obvious! Well, I wanted to break my fashion choice’s rut and let someone style me. (Normally though I feel my style is eccentric to me and a change is like an intrusion to my privacy.)

So I decided to let my friend and Fashion Blogger Jugni & Co on Instagram (Rashika Chanchlani) dress me up in her style. Rashika is very eclectic when it comes to her dressing and her desi (indo fusion) looks are my favourite. Now tell me have you ever looked at something and admired it, yet thought you can’t carry it off. Well, that’s me and fusion or desi dressing.

When you are called a fashionista one of the real reasons is your love to experiment with fashion. So I decided to experiment with my look and let Rashika style a plain black dress. What’s good for you is that you can see two completely different ways of styling one maxi dress 😀

Check out www.jugniandco.com for her fashion sense to understand the essence of this styling:

Jugni & Co. styled by The Style Chair

Dress: Thrifted

Leather Jacket: ZARA

Earrings: Maithali Kabre

Heels: Forever 21

The Style Chair styled by Jugni & Co.

Dress- Forever 21

Stole: Store in Kolhapur

Earrings: Delhi (best place to find all things Indian)

Soon after, both of us, got into our own element and decided to just be casual & have fun❤

This Miss Jugni is subtly mad, totally filmy (and I thought I was filmy!) and her smile is so beautiful that if I was a boy I would be head over heels in just a flash of that smile.

I on the other hand am loud, crazy and that kind of person who is always thinking of some masti or the other. Together, Well! You can just imagine how much positive energy flies around us (although there are at times I end up even embarrassing her) Glimpses clearly here.

So we dressed down the maxi dresses to do a casual everyday look (which we left in after the shoot)

We both seem to love knots and here is a look at How we Wore the same maxi dress in two different ways (TSC style and Jugni style)

‘They know she is filmy, but they don’t know this one is a drama queen’

As seen on Miss TSC-

Dress: Forever 21

Booties: Forever 21

Tie up top (worn as a short jacket): Bershka

As seen on Miss Jugni-

Major shoutout to our favourite photographer Kruthika Pillai (follow her on Instagram @kruthika_pillai). She really had to exercise a lot of patience with us and had to even play the role of a teacher and order us around to ‘behave’

Rashika and Me, both were very excited to do a post together but also nervous about how our readers will perceive the outcome! So, Leave your comments below or follow me on Instagram @thestylechair and leave in your comments there to show some love. Trust me I am dying to hear back from you so we can work on some more crazy posts together ❤
