Style Co-ord with your girlie like a Pro! #JaipurFashionDiaries

Everyone is trying to wear the ‘co-ord’ outfits and make two pieces seem like one stunning outfit! I say why not have two outfits co-ordinated together to give you one hell of a stylish look.

This idea started out as something cheesy and corny from my mother, and appreciated as something that would look good in pictures by me, while packing up for our Jaipur trip, Then when we started matching our outfits to create different looks, we ourselves were so happy with the results that I decided to do a blog post on it.

Not always does it happen that you can give out those soul sister vibes through your outfits ‘just like that’. That’s a different thing that a lot of times my mum and me resonate on a similar level when it comes to fashion (although she is definitely more experimental than me). So it’s definitely a deliberate effort to coordinate your outfits and its totally worth it, especially if you love getting clicked.

Obviously we aren’t talking of the cliché twinning. I think that’s just really lame (sorry if my candidness is offensive). While TSC has done style swapping I haven’t really done a Style Co-ord series. Now that my mother is on Instagram too she was ultra excited about this idea for our Jaipur holiday and that’s simply how this whole post came about.

It was ultra exciting for me to do this with my mother (I wouldn’t have ideally opted to do this with anyone else) because she is literally the only one who can make me nervous, I mean imagine the grace the poise and the Fashion sense she has at that age, it’s commendable. Plus her excitement for all these things really keeps me going.

So, let’s get to the Do’s and Dont’s of Style Co-ord according to TSC:

  • Try and retain elements from each others personal style. If she decides to wear a hat with pallazo pants then let her.
  • Don’t literally just pick up two identical outfits and call it a Style Co-ord! Again, it’s a Co-ord not a twinning kind of outfit.
  • Match the colours and keep the styles different or match the styles and keep the colours different.
  • Play with complimentary colours if you don’t want to match colours. Aesthetically it just looks very appealing and the colours look beautiful put together in a frame.
  • One thing that should definitely be similar is the Accessory tones. Try and stick to the same tones when it comes to accessorizing (unless you are literally wearing identically coloured outfits).

Notice how different factors have been kept in mind to create two different Style Co-ord looks here:
